At Westside Community Center, our mission is bold—but the heartbeat behind it is gentle, steady, and faithful. Her name is Mrs. Michele Beavers, and if you’ve spent any time at WCC, chances are you’ve felt her impact—even if you didn’t know it.
Mrs. Michele isn’t a volunteer. She’s the glue that keeps our office running smoothly, the encourager who brightens tough days, and the quiet force who anticipates needs before they even arise. From managing the flow of vital information to quietly filling in the gaps that are missed, to simply being a calming presence, she does it all without ever asking for recognition. But today, we want to stop and give her just that.
A proud native of Dewey, Oklahoma, Michele brings with her a legacy of service and compassion. She’s the beloved wife of Reverend Ralph Beavers, Pastor of First Baptist Church in Nowata. For 45 years, they’ve built a life marked by ministry, family, and faith, raising two daughters and supporting local and statewide ministry efforts side by side.
After nearly 25 years with Diversified Systems Resources, Michele retired from her professional career. But retirement didn’t slow her down—it simply gave her more time to pour into others. Whether she’s helping at church, volunteering at WCC, or running her handmade body products business, Lady Michele ThisNThat, she embodies the kind of purpose-driven living that inspires everyone around her.
Here at Westside, Michele is affectionately known as the heartbeat of the office—and for good reason. She helps keep the flow of our work steady and uplifting. She catches things before they fall through the cracks. She brings warmth, wisdom, and structure to our space. And for me, she helps more than you could ever know.
So today, I want to say thank you.
Thank you, Mrs. Michele, for your quiet strength and faithful service.
Thank you for showing up with grace and excellence, even when no one is watching.
And thank you, Pastor Beavers, for sharing her with us. We know her presence is a gift, and we do not take it lightly.
Michele, your fingerprints are on every win we celebrate. You help carry the vision in unseen but powerful ways, and we are better because of you.
