Community Centered Innovation

Born and raised in Bartlesville, Shavon Robles’ journey with the Westside Community Center (WCC) has come full circle. As a youth attending WCC's programs, she first discovered the power of community engagement, which has shaped her lifelong passion for empowering others. Today, Shavon serves as the Executive Director of WCC, leading the organization with a vision that celebrates diversity, fosters sustainability, and prepares the next generation for success.

One of Shavon’s most impactful initiatives has been the creation of WCC’s endowment with the Bartlesville Community Foundation. This fund is set to transform the future of WCC to provide a

sustainable source of support that will empower the community center to continue its mission of service, growth, and community impact for generations to come. The $2.5 million endowment ensures that WCC’s transformative programs and initiatives will thrive, enabling the organization to expand its reach and deepen its impact in Bartlesville and beyond. Understanding the importance of sustainable resources to secure WCC’s future, Shavon spearheaded the creation of this endowment, which has already secured over $150,000 in pledges within the first 48 hours of its introduction. This critical step guarantees the long-term financial health of WCC, empowering the community center to continue its mission of service and enrichment for generations to come.

Shavon brings a wealth of expertise in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and innovative program development. Her ability to identify collaboration opportunities and build impactful partnerships has been instrumental in expanding WCC’s reach. Under her leadership, WCC is transforming from financial instability to a thriving, sustainable organization. Shavon’s dedication to financial stewardship and her focus on creating lasting impact are restoring trust and confidence and positioning WCC for continued success.

Her career is characterized by a multidisciplinary approach, blending expertise in psychology, organizational leadership, and financial restructuring. Shavon has designed transformative initiatives, such as STEAM education programs, YouthPreneur entrepreneurship workshops, and professional development efforts that equip youth with critical skills for success in an evolving economy. Additionally, Shavon has championed health and wellness programs, such as the WCC community garden, which fosters sustainable living and environmental stewardship.

A passionate advocate for community-driven solutions, Shavon is committed to building inclusive spaces where all voices are heard and valued. She is dedicated to ensuring WCC remains a beacon of hope, opportunity, and positive change.

When she’s not leading transformative initiatives at WCC, Shavon enjoys connecting with the community, exploring innovative solutions, and mentoring the next generation of changemakers. She and her husband reside in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where they continue to support causes that build stronger, more vibrant communities.

Under Shavon’s leadership, WCC is poised for continued growth, serving as a shining example of what can be achieved through collaboration, education, and unwavering dedication to the community.
